Paolo Valter Caroli

Development Expert, Environmental Strategist, Innovator

I am a sustainable development expert and environmental strategist focusing on natural resource management and sustainable tourism, with over 40 years of experiences in international cooperation, sustainable development, and biodiversity conservation. As a founder of CESVI and a Chief Technical Advisor with UNDP projects, I have led high-impact projects across Latin America, Africa, the Middle-East and Asia, specializing in project design, natural resource management, and sustainable tourism. My work emphasizes building Public-Private-Community Partnerships (PPCP) that drive both conservation and community development.

With extensive management experience, I have led multi-disciplinary teams in diverse settings, from overseeing emergency responses to managing complex initiatives in regions like Nepal, Egypt and Southern Africa. My leadership style is centered on fostering adaptive management, aligning diverse stakeholder priorities, and ensuring capacity building to empower teams and local communities alike.

As the founder of www.AIsapiens.ai, I focus on integrating AI-driven strategies to optimize performance, streamline workflows, and enhance organizational capabilities—elevating productivity, empowering teams, facilitating smarter decision-making, and transforming conventional project management through cutting-edge technological advancements.

Experience

I have extensive experience managing large-scale environmental initiatives and guiding strategic development projects across various global contexts. In roles ranging from program director to advisor, I have collaborated with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to advance projects in ecosystem management, sustainable tourism, and community-driven resource management. My approach integrates on-the-ground impact with innovative environmental solutions, that align environmental priorities with economic and social gains for local communities.
